Novice Rider Course (NRC)
The NRC is specifically designed for the novice or re-entry rider. This course is held over a weekend or two full days during the week. Our weekent NRC is held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our weekday classes vary as to time and days.
We offer two options for the NRC: the Subsidized and Non-Subsidized Courses. The course content is the same for both courses.
The Subsidized Course costs $125 for any Washington State resident over 18 years of age and $50 for any resident under 18 years of age. This course is partially funded by the Department of Licensing and allows us to provide courses 2 or 3 times per month within our business season (tpically late March through early November).
Our Non-Subsidized Courses are held once or twice a month and cost $225 per student. These courses are not funded through the Department of Licensing. Since Subsidized Courses fill quickly and we often have a waiting list, Non-Subsidized Courses are an excellent option for those who prefer not to wait. |
Intermediate Rider Course (IRC)
The IRC is a class designed fo a rider who has ridden for at least a year and has a good degree of knowledge and experience. This class is a six-hour class held typically on a Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm.m
The IRC enables you to earn the endorsement waiver by attending the class and passing the evaluation on your own motorcycle. For the IRC you must have a permit and motorcycle insurance (for liability purposes).
The IRC is a terrific way to advance your riding skills, brush up your current skills and gain greater confidence on your own motorcycle while recieving your endorsement
